Dean R. Lyon
58, 2298 Hidden Cove Lane, Mosinee, died Tuesday October 5, 2004 at his home.
He was born November 2, 1945 in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, son of Wilbur and Virginia (Davidson) Lyon Fort Madison, Iowa. On September 14, 1968 he married LaDon Emenecker in Wausau. She survives.
Dean served in the Iowa National Guard from 1963 until 1969 and had been employed at Wausau Papers for the past 33 years.
As an active member of Christian Assembly - Assemblies of God, Dean shared his time and talents as a humble servant of God. His church involvements included serving as an Elder, head usher, Youth Advisor and he also worked with the seniors and with the Shepherd's House.
Survivors include his wife, LaDon Lyon, Mosinee, children, Lynne Lyon, St. Louis, Chad Lyon, Minneapolis, parents, Wilbur and Virginia Lyon, Fort Madison, Iowa, two brothers, Richard (Karen) Lyon, Burlington, Iowa and Donald (Kathleen) Lyon, Bettendorf, Iowa, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 9, 2004 at Christian Assemblies - Assemblies of God, Wausau. Rev. Dennis Romine will officiate. Burial will be in the Mosinee Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Shepherd's House, 400 Grand Avenue, Wausau, WI 54403
