David D. Skrzypchak, 82, of Weston, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born June 18, 1941 in the town of Cassel to the late Anton and Anna (Bargender) Skrzypchak. David graduated from Marathon High School and also attended NTC. He married Donna Sickler on October 2, 1965 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and they raised two daughters, Carla and Candice.
David worked as an engineering technician for Drott Manufacturing and later J.I. Case Co. After his first retirement worked for American State Equipment. David would always have some side jobs going on including roofing, excavating, logging for the mill, and making firewood. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea.
In his free time David was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed many trips to Canada and out west hunting and fishing, creating life-long friendships and memories with his hunting and fishing buddies. Donna and his family were very important to him as well and he spent many times traveling the states, camping, and musky fishing with her and the kids.
