David D. Lashua, 47, Wausau, died unexpectedly Monday, December 5, 2016.
He was born April 29, 1969 in Wausau, son of Barbara (Lippert) Dallman and the late Karl Lashua.
David worked as a diesel mechanic at Wisconsin Kenworth. He was an avid race fan, driving his own stock car. He was a dedicated supporter of the Armed Forces, enjoyed watching his son play hockey for the Mosinee Papermakers and above all loved being Papa Dave.
Survivors include his sons, Corporal USMC Matthew C. (Melissa) Lashua, North Carolina and Anthony J. Lashua, Wausau; grandchildren, Bentleigh and Huddson Lashua; mother, Barbara Dallman, Weston; siblings, Brian Lashua, Nekoosa, Michelle Bahr, Lacey Lashua, both of Wausau and Jason Monroe Lashua, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Karl.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Joy Nelson-Jeffers will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
