David J. Crum
52, Athens, died Friday, April 19, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born June 8, 1960 in Dane County, Wis., the son of Rose (Zimmerman) Crum of Wausau and the late James Crum.
David was a truck driver for 30 years. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed playing bean bags, dartball, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his pets.
Survivors include, three daughters, Sara (Troy) Faber, Athens, Erin (Chad) Borchardt, Edgar and Casey (Charlie Duerr) Crum, Athens; his mother, Rose; four grandchildren, Caleb, Grace, Chloe and Owen; one sister, Deborah Crum, Wausau; one sister-in-law, JoAnn Crum, Wausau; one niece, Renee (Scott) Krautkramer, Wausau; and two nephews, Travis (Nicky) Thurs and Kenny Thurs, both of Wausau.
Besides his father, James, he was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Crum.
A celebration of his life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. Rev. Andrew Alberts will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
