David F. Cichon

David F. Cichon 88, town of Rietbrock, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born August 21, 1922 in the town of Rietbrock, son of the late Frank and Agnes (Socha) Cichon. For many years, David lived in Chicago, where he worked as a carpenter. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and Chicago Bears Fan. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed bowling, fishing and camping. Survivors include, one sister, Virginia (Chuck) Schulz, town of Rietbrock; two sisters-in-law, Irene Cichon, Wausau and Clara Cichon, Marathon; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Alois, Alvin and Ervin Cichon. Private services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens is in charge of arrangements.
