Darrell J. Jahnke

Darrell J. Jahnke 66, Athens, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. He was born January 31, 1946 in Wausau, son of Delma (Buchholz) Jahnke and the late Mynard Jahnke. On February 5, 1966 he married Victoria Lund at Rib Falls Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2010. Darrell worked as a manager at County Concrete for many years and most recently worked as a driver for Marth Transportation. He enjoyed spending time outdoors especially fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. Survivors include his sons, Jim (Brenda) Jahnke, Colorado, and Bruce (Bonnie) Jahnke, Rib Falls; grandchildren, Kyle, Bria and Brett Jahnke; mother, Delma Jahnke, Wausau; brother, Vern (Kathy) Jahnke, Colorado; sisters, Barb Dotson, Wausau and Roxie (Mike) Denfeld, Ringle; and special friend, Sharlene Hieronimus, Wausau. Memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Rib Falls Methodist Church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
