Darlene Elizabeth Prei

Darlene E. Prei, 57, Rhinelander, died Sunday July 6, 2003 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born August 2, 1945, in Marshfield, daughter of Elizabeth (Rainville) Rohmeyer, Wausau; and the late Joseph Rohmeyer. On May 14, 1966 she married Davis Prei at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives. Darlene worked as a housekeeper at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and at Saint Mary Catholic Church. Most of her life, she worked at Rhinelander Foods as a fryer operator. She had a love for anything Mickey Mouse and enjoyed collecting the memorabilia. Survivors include her husband, Davis Prei, Rhinelander; her mother Elizabeth (Rainville) Rohmeyer, Wausau; one sister, Gail (Dan) Dupuis, Merrill; two brothers: Joe (Nancy) Rohmeyer Jr., Hamburg; Kenneth Rohmeyer, Kronenwetter; special nieces Brenda and Cathy Dupuis, Merrill; special friends Jeff (Shawn) Harter and their son Noah, Wausau and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2003 at the Church of the Resurrection Of Our Lord Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Stephen Gross will preside. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and from 10:00 am Thursday until the time of services at the church. There will be a vigil service Wednesday evening at the Sixth Street Funeral Home.
