Daniel J. Kaldunski

Daniel J. Kaldunski, 81, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born May 13, 1937 in Gaylord, Minnesota, son of the late Elmer Sr. and Sophia (Stencil) Kaldunski. On February 11, 1961 he married Donna Ringle at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. She survives. Daniel served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. He worked as a carpenter and at Menzner Lumber and Supply Company as an over the road semi-truck driver. He enjoyed bird watching, Sam's Pizza, Western Movies, especially ones starring John Wayne and watching all types of sports. He also enjoyed deer hunting and carpentry. Survivors include his wife, Donna Kaldunski. Rib Falls; children, Robert (Carol) Kaldunski, Edgar, Korey (Barb) Kaldunski, Athens and Douglas (Ellen) Kaldunski, Athens; grandchildren, Brian (Liz) Kaldunski, Tarrah (Anthony) Bennish, Briah (Christopher) Perry, Kenya Kaldunski and Kole Kaldunski; great-grandchildren, Anna and Emalee Kaldunski, Grant and Alayna Bennish; and a sister, Marcella Hargraves, Wausau. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rachel, grandson, Andrew Kaldunski, sisters, Rosella Adams and Marjorie Diers, and a brother, Elmer Kaldunski Jr. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Private burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services all at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, is in charge of arrangements.
