Dane Hoxie Felch
81, died Monday November 26, 2007, at the home of his son, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
He was born July 9, 1926, in New Richmond, son of the late Arthur and Lois (Smith) Felch. On May 21, 1949, he married Shirley Lodholz at the former St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. She preceded him in death September 8, 2005.
Dane proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. From 1954 until 1971 had been employed at the former Drott Manufacturing, Schofield. He was the co-founder of J & D Tube Benders, Weston, and stayed active in different facets of the business. Among his favorite things to do were, fishing, spending time at the cottage up north, baseball and an occasional trip to the casino. Special to Dane was his faith and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include three children, Kathleen (Roger) Futrell, Gainesville, Georgia, Thomas (Janet) Felch, Ringle, Candice (Gary) Rosner, Green Bay, four grandchildren, Jon (Katie) Felch, Lisa Felch, Victoria Rosner and Bethany Rosner; one sister, Nancy Wendorf, Eagle River.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara, three brothers, James, Eugene and Willis Felch.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday November 30, 2007 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston. Rev. Joseph Rafacz will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are recommended to the NTC Foundation for the Dane H. Felch Scholarship endowment fund.
