Dale D. Kruesel

Dale "Sammy" D. Kruesel 55, Marathon, died Wednesday November 29, 2006 at his home. He was born January 24, 1951 in Wausau, son of the late Frank and Lucille (Starzinski) Kruesel. He was a member of the National Guard for 17 years. For more than 35 years, Dale was an employee of Marathon Cheese. Throughout his life, Dale collected and sold antiques and was a very active rummage sale dealer. For 22 years, Dale was involved with Alcoholics Anonymous in the Wausau and Marathon area. Survivors include one brother, Ervin (Shirley) Kruesel, Wausau; one niece, Kristin Myszka, Marathon; one nephew, Scott Kruesel, Wausau; and four grand nieces: Loralynn, Hayley, Alexis and Courtney. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Marie Kruesel. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2006 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Parish or Alcoholics Anonymous.
