Dale R. Eggebrecht

Dale R. Eggebrecht, 65, Wausau, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at his home. He was born April 28, 1948 in Wausau, son of the late Robert and Eleanor (Ballerstein) Eggebrecht. On May 29, 1976, he married Sue Kluz at St. Michael Catholic Church. She survives. Dale was currently employed as a mechanical designer for Siemens in Wausau. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 248, Wausau and the Wausau Curling Club. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed golfing and curling, most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include, his wife, Sue, Wausau; three children, Eric (Paula) Eggebrecht, Trenton, OH, Laura (Ben) Schlund, Wausau and Lisa Eggebrecht, Robbinsdale, MN; six grandchildren, Lauren, Robert and Mattie Eggebrecht, Evan Meyer and Natalie and Finley Schlund; his mother-in-law, Mary Kluz, Hatley; one brother, Donald (Linda) Eggebrecht, Green Bay; one sister, Shirley (Ervin) Murkowski, Wausau; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Rudolph Kluz. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Timothy Welles will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
