Dale Baumann

Dale Walter John Baumann, 60, Town of Berlin, was called to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. He was born January 18, 1955, son of the late Walter H. and Fern M. (Belanger) Baumann. On May 14, 1988 he married Sarah Henke. She survives. Dale graduated in 1973 from Wausau West High School. He worked as a welder for 35 years at a local manufacturer, later as a bus driver for First Student and was a member of the Trailmates Snowmobile Club for many years. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards, making maple syrup, NASCAR and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Sarah; children, Mikayla and Michael, both at home; sisters, Gayle Baumann, Wausau and Usona Mallak, Wausau and her children, Jamie (Mike) Wilde, Wausau and Katie Mallak, Greenville, SC. He is further survived by his father and mother-in-law, Roger and Norma Henke, Irma; brothers-in-law, Mark Henke and his children, Austin, Juliet, Alexia and Mark Anthony, Modesto, CA and Todd Henke, Merrill; sister-in-law, Lissa (Kevin) Schneider, Winona, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Reverend Walter Baumann. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Naugart. Rev. Nathaniel Biebert will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, and again on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
