Connie Wadzinski

Connie M. Wadzinski 73, Lake Tomahawk, formerly of Schofield, died Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital with her family by her side. She was born September 19, 1937 in Wausau, daughter of the late Ervin and Dorothy (Netzel) Kahn. On April 26, 1958, she married Delmar Wadzinski at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. He survives. Connie worked for Wausau Papers in Brokaw, Del and Chuck's Cycle Center and retired from the Home Supply CO-OP after 20 years of service. She was a motorcycle enthusiast and a member of the Rib Mountain Riders and co-founder of the Wausau Secretaries Club. For 30 years, Connie and her husband, Del, looked forward to spending time with a special group of friends at the Wisconsin Valley Fair. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, a Nascar fan and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren which were her pride and joy. Survivors include, her husband of 53 years, Del Wadzinski, Lake Tomahawk; two sons, Rick Wadzinski, Wausau and Rod (Sherry) Wadzinski, White Bear Lake, Minn. and their children, Zakary and Olivia; three siblings, Barbara (Mel) Malkow, Little Falls, Minn., Richard (Marlys) O'Connor, Weston and Patricia (David) Buchkoski, Isle, Minn. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
