Concetta E. Garton

Concetta E. "Connie" Garton 85, Wausau, formerly of New Jersey, was called home to be with her Lord Saturday October 14, 2006 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau. She was born December 8, 1920, in Philadelphia, Pen., daughter of the late Lorenzo and Donata (Ventura) Rufo. On October 17, 1937 she married William E.Garton in Elkton Maryland. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1989. Concetta loved played cards, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include the family she held dear, children, Ethel (Dennis) Wanke, Wausau, William (Nora) Garton, Bonneau, South Carolina, Dorothy (Robert) Ragone, Deptford, New Jersey and Thomas (Deb) Garton, Rib Mountain; fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, three sisters, Antoinette Cerulli, Jennie Cellucci and Grace Micaletti, all of Philadelphia. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at the Church of St. Anne. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the entire staff at Marywood Convolescent Center for the kind and loving care extended to Connie during her years with them.
