Claude W. Vanlue

Claude W. Vanlue 90, Hatley, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. He was born March 6, 1922 in Fargo, North Dakota son of the late George and Ethel (Davis) Vanlue. On May 4, 1945 he married Elva Fringer in Woodstock, Illinois. She preceded him in death on February 18, 2002. Claude enjoyed farming, nature books and solving word search books and crossword puzzles. Survivors include his two daughters, Elda Lou (James) Fettes, Stetsonville and Charlene (Marvin) Elgin, Hatley, one son Gerald (Cheryl) Vanlue, Dorchester, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Claude is further survived by two sisters, Jessie Kaun, Gordon and Lucy Mae Radtke, South Beloit and five brothers, Glenn (Amy) Vanlue, Woodstock, Harold (Eunice) Vanlue and Dave Vanlue, both of Anthony, Florida, Bob Dale Vanlue and Vincent (Rose) Vanlue, both of Missouri. Claude was preceded in death by his wife and parents and four brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock, Illinois. Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock. Friends may call on Monday from Noon until the time of services all at the cemetery. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
