Clarice I. Kohnhorst

Clarice I. Kohnhorst, 93, Wausau passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, while under the care of Interim Hospice at Stone Crest, Wausau.

She was born June 23, 1933, in Mosinee, daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Zahn) Geary. On September 2, 1950, she married Donald Baumann. He passed away on June 8, 1984. She then married Ralph Kohnhorst at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on September 24, 1988. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2024. Her stepchildren, Michael Kohnhorst, John Kohnhorst and Ann (Kohnhorst) Holtz, also preceded her in death.

During her career, Clarice worked for Wisconsin Fuel & Light. She attended Good Shepard Lutheran Church and enjoyed cooking and sewing, and time with family.

Clarice was survived by her children, Kay (Shawn) Wiskofske, Sue Roselius, Kurt Baumann, a stepdaughter, Pam Kohnhorst, her grandchildren, including Jessy Wiskofske, Alexandra (Wiskofske) Fuller, Garrett Roselius, Lauren Roselius, Sarah (Roselius) Unis, Ellen Baumann, Nathan Baumann, Beth (Holtz) Zeinert, Heidi (Holtz) Guenther, and great grandchildren, Sophia, Jacob, Caroline, and Ian Roselius (Sue Roselius). Tara, Taylor and Trevor Murkowski (Beth Zeinert). Randi and Griffin Krueger (Heidi Guenther).

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home at 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau WI. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at noon, followed by burial at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
