Clarence Writz

Clarence "Cleo" Writz, 88, Wausau, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
He was born May 4, 1920 in Athens, son of the late Frank and Frances (Klavinski) Writz. He served in the US Army during World War II. Cleo worked for Fromm Brothers until retiring at age 65.
Survivors include one brother, John (Marcella) Writz, Wausau, two sisters, Irene Mueller, Milwaukee and Dorothy Carswell, Menomonie and friends, Lois (Ferdie) Paul of Athens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the VFW Andrew J. Sutter Post #8527 at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2008 at Calvary Cemetery, Athens.
Peterson/Kraemer Athens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
