Clarence R. “Duzer” Pochinski, 60, Mosinee, died Wednesday, April 1, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born on November 12, 1965, son of the late Virginia (Buchkowski) Pochinski and Clarence Pochinski, Hatley. On April 19, 1986 he married Jean Rucinski in Mosinee.
Duzer, known to many by his nickname but born Clarence, lived a life defined by quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to his family. A man who put God first in all things, Duzer was a devoted Christian who knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and he carried that faith with him in the way he lived, loved, and served others.
He shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with his high school sweetheart, Jean—a partnership built on love, commitment, and shared values. Together, they created a life centered around family, faith, and simple joys.
Duzer was a thoughtful and intelligent man, known for his honesty and depth. Though naturally quiet, his words carried weight; when he spoke, it mattered. He possessed a remarkable memory for dates and historical trivia, and he approached life with both curiosity and a strong work ethic. He spent many years working at Hatley Veneer and later retired from Domtar after more than 30 years of dedicated service.
Above all, Duzer was a family man. He was a loving father and an exceptional grandfather whose presence left a lasting impact on those closest to him. His son fondly remembers how proud his Father was of his military service. His daughter cherished the honor of being walked down the aisle by her father, a memory she holds close to her heart. Another cherished memory of his daughter is when she was having a bad day and Dad visited her at work, bringing a small gift and giving her a hug, a simple but meaningful way of lifting her spirits.
To his grandchildren, Duzer was a constant and comforting presence. He spent countless hours playing baseball with them, teaching them how to ride snowmobiles, and encouraging their imaginations. Walks to the mailbox—though long—became treasured moments of conversation and connection. He loved watching them leave for school in the mornings and greeting them when they returned, often stepping outside just to say hello. Evenings were often spent sharing popcorn and stories, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
He took great pride in attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, always present, always supportive. Whether on the sidelines or at home, he invested his time fully in the lives of those he loved. Duzer found joy in the simple things—laughter, conversation, and togetherness—and he made those around him feel valued and seen.
Despite a lifelong battle with diabetes, Duzer never complained. His resilience and quiet perseverance were a testament to his character.
Duzer will be remembered as a man of faith, integrity, and deep love. He was greatly loved and will be profoundly missed by his family, who will carry his memory forward in the values he lived by and the moments they shared. His legacy is one of love, faith, and family—exactly as he would have wanted.
