Clara L. Sulzer, 92, Marathon, died Friday afternoon, June 5, 2015 at the Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.
She was born June 9, 1922, in Marathon, daughter of the late Andrew and Frances Werner. On September 6, 1941 she married the late Wallace Sulzer at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Halder. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1988.
Clara was a retired dairy and ginseng farmer, farming in the town of Mosinee for many years, and moved to Marathon City in 1975. She was a member of the Third Order Secular Franciscans and was a devout Christian who enjoyed her Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Sister Frances Sulzer, F.S.P.A., Chicago, Mrs. Don (Judy) Mc Cormack, Anaheim, Calif; and Ms. Mary Alice Sulzer, Weston; Three sons, Kenneth (Chris) Sulzer and Gary (Mary) Sulzer both of Mosinee and Tom (Kay) Sulzer, Eleva.; 12 Grandsons, 10 Great grandchildren and 4 Great-Great grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers John Werner of Halder and Edward Werner of Weston.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon with Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier presiding. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call starting at 9:00 a.m. Monday morning at St. Mary's until time of services. There will be a parish rosary at 9:00 a.m. Monday morning.
