Clara F. Lepak
99, town of Cassel died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Wausau Manor.
She was born October 10, 1912 in Edgar, daughter of the late Leo and Lena (Pfingstel) Ravonet. On November 24, 1931 she married Edward Lepak at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgar. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1980.
Clara and her husband farmed in the town of Cassel for many years. She was very active at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on many different levels but was proud of being the sacristan for 48 years. She was a past president and life member of the Marathon American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 469. Some of her favorite pastimes included, gardening, traveling, playing Bingo, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. Clara found time for nursing home visits and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Survivors include her children, Marian (Ed or "Red") Brunson, Brookfield, Angeline (Gerald) Butalla, Big Bend and Frances (Dwight) Simonton, Mukwonago, Marlin Lepak and Donald (Deborah) Lepak, both of Marathon, 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and two daughters-in-law, Joan Lepak, Big Bend and Diane Lepak, Rhinelander.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four children, Bernice, Richard, Robert and Leonard Lepak, two brothers, Raymond and Edward Ravonet and a daughter-in-law, Glenda Lepak.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 9, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, town of Cassel. The Rev. Barnabas Kyeah will preside. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Clara's name.

Clara will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the countless people whose lives she has touched. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the outstanding staff at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and Wausau Manor for the wonderful care they gave to Clara during her time spent with them.
