Clara J. Hennig

Clara J. Hennig 85, formerly of Schlegel Street, Athens, died Tuesday February 15, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. She was born April 1, 1919 in Athens, daughter of Andrew and Sophie (Greiner) Westfall. On October 5, 1940 she married John Hennig at the William Hennig residence. He preceded her in death December 16, 1996. Clara was a homemaker that enjoyed baking and decorating. She was always ready to help anyone who was in need. Survivors include a son, Dennis (Maureen) Hennig, Brighton, Mich., three grandchildren, Kari Carrigan, Kris (Bill) McCaslin and Dean (Cathy) Hennig all of Brighton, Mich., five great grandchildren, Heather, Morgan, Emily, Erica and Jessica, three step-great grandchildren, Bill Jr., Jeanette and Crystal, her siblings, LaVerne Kramm, Ely, Minn., Mert (Elmer) Nimmerguth, Lake Havasu, Ariz., Cindy (Elmer) Nehrbass, Wausau, Harold (Delores) Westfall, Athens, Rick Westfall, Athens, Marcy (Joe) Scheithauer, Medford, Donnie (Marlene) Westfall, Athens, Iris (Frank) Schreiner, Athens many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin, Gordon and Kenny Westfall. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday February 18, 2005 at Christ United Church, Athens. Rev. Kenneth A. Dix will officiate. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens is in charge of arrangements.
