Christopher B. Straub

Christopher B. Straub, 73, Wausau, died Sunday, January 28, 2024 under the care of Interim Hospice at Wellington Place.

He was born April 3, 1950 in Wausau, son of the late Howard and Jean (Clark) Straub.  On August 21, 1971 he married Linda Baranowski in Wausau.

Christopher was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, swimming, biking and golfing.  He was active in Boy Scouts and an avid NASCAR and Badgers football fan.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Straub; children, Michael (Jen) Straub, Laura (Mark) Herdt and Matthew (Amanda) Straub; grandchildren, Ashley Straub and Alexandra Straub; siblings, Jamie Larsen, Susan (James) Powers, Howard (Linda) Straub and Mary Powers Darwish.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sally.

Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau.  Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
