Chester D. Gilmeister

Chester D. Gilmeister 68, 1101 North Lane, Athens, died Thursday, November 4, 2004 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born May 5, 1936 in New Hope, son of the late Leo and Rose (Perowski) Gilmeister. Chester was employed with Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee as a supervisor for over 30 years. He was also the former owner/operator of the Merrill View Motel, Merrill. Survivors include his two daughters, Dr. Linda (Homer) Hunter, Kingston, TN and Lisa (Tommy) Miller, Merrill, one sister, Loretta (Pete) Kunkel, Wisconsin Rapids, one brother, Frank (Shirley) Gilmeister, Hartford and special friend Patricia Schocknesse. Besides his parents Chester was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Leonard. The memorial mass will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2004 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
