Chester S. Bricko

Chester S. Bricko 93, 2901 No. Seventh Street, Wausau, died Friday December 9, 2005, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born June 15, 1912, in Elderon, son of the late Alex and Louise (Suprise) Bricko. On April 7, 1931, he married Jennie Berglund in Wittenberg. She preceded him in death April 21, 1995. Prior to his retirement in 1976, Chester worked at 3M Manufacturing as a machinist for 29 years. He enjoyed playing sheepshead twice a week with his friends at Forest Park Village and also enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Survivors include a special friend, Delphine Heeren, his children, Duane (Pattie) Bricko, Ringle, Beverly (Ray) Filtz, Bevent, Catherine Timm, Shepley, Annette (Toke) Klabunde, Mosinee, Dennis Bricko, Merrill, Vincent Bricko, Wausau and Lyle (Barb) Bricko, Wausau, 41 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Lucille Meshke, Wausau. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald and Ronald and one daughter, Marcellene. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday December 13, 2005 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Rafacz will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, and again on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 5:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Sixth Street funeral home.
