Cheri L. Myers

Cheri Lynn Myers, age 77, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born on May 18, 1949, in Ottawa, Illinois, to William and Harriet Newbury. On November 8, 1972, she married the love of her life, Robert Myers. Together, they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage and took great pride in the life they built side by side. She was proud of their accomplishments and the things they achieved together as husband and wife.

Cheri worked at a bank for many years before retiring in 2008. After retirement, she enjoyed having more time to do the things she loved, especially spending time boating and going for motorcycle rides. Some of her favorite times were spent boating at Starved Rock in Illinois or taking the yacht out from Center Point Marina in Sturgeon Bay. Above all, Cheri treasured her family and loved spoiling her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed taking them out for lunch, bringing them along on the boat, and simply spending time together. She cherished every opportunity to make memories with the people she loved most.

Cheri is survived by her loving husband, Robert Myers; children, Stacey (John) McGuffin, Jason (Dena) Weber, and Jacki Weber; grandchildren, Lexi (Brant) Bunjan and Audrey Weber; siblings, Pat (Sue) Newbury, Kathy McGill, and Judy Newbury; brother-in-law, Rich (Judy) Myers; and sister-in-law, Monica Myers. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bill Newbury, Maryann Phelps, Tom Newbury, and Sally; and brother-in-law, Jack Myers.
