Charles P. Rauen

Charles P. Rauen Jr., 77, 513 N. Fourth Avenue, Wausau, died Monday, February 25, 2002 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Charles was born June 2, 1924 in the town of Rietbrock, son of the late Charles and Clara (Berres) Rauen Sr. The family moved to Wausau in June of 1953. Charles was employed at Marmet Corp. for 40 years, retiring in 1994. Woodworking was a source of pride as he built a replica of his grandparent's farmhouse, which was displayed at two Rauen family reunions. He is survived by his sister Lucille Rauen, Wausau, and many relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two sisters, Angeline & Dorothy Rauen. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2002 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. The Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Poniatowski. Friends may call Thursday, 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
