Charles M. Jehn
85, Wausau, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at his home.
He was born May 8, 1919 in Wausau, son of the late Carl and Clara (Grueneberg) Jehn. On July 13, 1946, he married Maxine St. Louis in Wausau. She preceded him in death on October 9, 2002.
Charles was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. He was an accountant for Valley Plumbing Supply, Wausau and La Crosse Plumbing Supply until the time of his retirement. Charles was a member of the Golden Kiwanis, La Crosse. Besides being a Deacon, Charles enjoyed taking caring of the grounds at his Wausau and La Crosse churches. Among his hobbies besides raising parrots and collecting model trains, Charles took great pride in his yard and garden.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas (Heide) Jehn, Elkhart Lake and Bruce (Gaye) Jehn, Orange, Texas; one daughter, Jeanne (Gary) Deml, La Crosse; five grandchildren, Tara (Aaron) Mouton, Dr. Carl Jehn, Amy Deml, Ryan (Tracy) Deml and Nathan (Tracy) Deml; five great grandchildren, Ty, Jenna, Alyssa Deml and Macy and Marlee Mouton; one sister, Beata Rossow, Mequon.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kurt Jehn.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church Chapel, Wausau. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Family will greet friends immediately following the services in the church hall.
