Charles W. Dunlap, age 88, died Monday, November 18, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born May 28, 1925 in Elkhorn, son of the late Leo and Dorothy (Brooks) Dunlap. A World War II Veteran, Charles served his country first in the Merchant Marines, followed by the United States Army. He raised his family in Janesville and in 1977 moved to Phillips. Charles graduated from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He worked as a probation and parole agent for the State of Wisconsin. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Dunlap, Phillips; children, Jefferey (Julie) Dunlap, Wild Rose, Gary (Rita) Dunlap, Edgerton, Jennifer (Bob) Miller, Wausau and James (Deanna) Dunlap, Janesville; 12 grandchildren, five step grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren.
