Charlene Joyce Morache

Charlene Joyce Morache (née Parker), 84, of Wausau, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025. She was born to Frederick Fremont Parker and Charlotte Catherine Becka Parker in Chicago, IL, on July 15, 1940.

In 1960, (Charlene) Joyce was wed to William F. Morache Jr. at St. Louis of France Church, Chicago, IL. Married 57 years, they had five children. In 1974, she and Bill moved their family to Wausau where they opened Taylor Rental Center (Total Rental) on Schofield Avenue in the Town of Weston, family owned and operated for nearly 40 years. After raising her family, Joyce had opportunities to travel extensively, spending time in New York, Mexico and Canada; as well as months with family in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE, touring Egypt, Oman and Greece. She enjoyed their many road trips across the US that took her to over 40 states. She spent time at the homes of her children in the company of her grandchildren, visiting Los Angeles, Oregon and Minneapolis and, closer to home, Wausau, Pleasant Prairie and Rhinelander.

Joyce maintained an interest in art, antiques and decorating. During her last months she remained active enjoying the outdoors, visiting local parks and hiking Granite Peak.

Survivors include her children, Pat Morache, Wausau, WI; Suzanne (Jim) Gierach, Pleasant Prairie, WI; John (Stacey) Morache, Wausau, WI; Kristin Morache, Wausau, WI; Dan (Ann) Morache, Minneapolis, MN; her eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Steven, Dominic, Max, Tyler, Maddox and Muireann; and her five great-grandchildren, Vanellope Joyce, William, Violet, Louis and another on the way.

She is preceded in death by her husband, (William) Bill Morache Jr., her sister Janice Parker Schuffert, and her parents (Frederick) Pete and Charlotte Parker.
