Chadwick ''Chad'' Barber

May 5, 1919 — March 11, 2003

Chadwick "Chad" Barber, 83, Marathon, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at his home. Born May 20, 1919 in the town of Butternut, son of the late Ward and Amanda (Knoop) Barber. Chad was a machinist and was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Zyk Post 272 in Butternut. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Dean. He will be sadly missed by his many close friends in the Wausau area, his dog Jake and numerous cousins. Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2003, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from 5-7 p.m. all at the Stewart Avenue Funeral Home.
