Cecelia Beatrice Walters

Cecelia Beatrice Walters, 91, a longtime resident of Rothschild, died Monday April 7, 2003 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Cedar Ridge Elder Services. Cecelia was born September 13, 1911 in Wausau, daughter of the late Frank A. and Magdalena (Abel) Walters. She attended St. Mary Grade School and graduated from Wausau High School. Cecelia attended Marathon County Normal School and then taught in the town of Easton. Cecelia loved to travel, was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed taking trips up to her cottage. She also enjoyed playing scrabble and a good game of canasta. Her greatest love was her home and the comfort of her own back yard, enjoying all the summer flowers. Survivors include three sisters, Lauretta Unertl, Mosinee, Joan (Frank) Swedish, Medford, Oregon, Claire (James) Krienke, De Pere and 16 nieces and nephews. Cecelia was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Koshalek, Esther Spychalla and one brother Gerald Walters. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 12, 2003 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call Saturday from 9:45 A.M. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
