Cecelia B. Salzwedel

Cecelia B. Salzwedel 91, Marathon, formerly of Wausau, died Thursday, August 7, 2008. She was born April 9, 1917 in Dorchester, daughter of the late Edward and Theresa (Bachhuber) Rauscher. On March 6, 1935, she married Walter B. Salzwedel in Dorchester. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1983. Cecelia was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards and flower gardening. Survivors include, two daughters, Dora (Arthur) Sirny, Mosinee and Donna Hack, Marathon; one sister, Betty Schuster, Wausau; 18 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, and husband, Walter, she was preceded in death by one son, Teddy Salzwedel; and one brother, Frank Rauscher. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Saturday, August 9, 2008 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Donald Berg will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau, for all the care and support given to Cecelia and her family over the past two weeks.
