Catherine V. Roeske

Catherine V. Roeske 85, Wausau, died Monday, October 24, 2011 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Cedar Creek Manor, Kronenwetter. She was born May 28, 1926 in Wausau, daughter of the late Harry and Verna (Brozzo) Trierweiler. On June 26, 1948, she married Arthur E. Roeske in Wausau. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1991. Catherine was a longtime member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and was involved in many church activities. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed square dancing, weekend camping trips and spending time with her family. Survivors include, three children, Mary (Ken) Stange, Wausau, Robert (Sue) Roeske, Rothschild and Thomas (Bev) Roeske, Waupaca; three grandchildren, Lori (Dave) Butkus, Brook Roeske and Karen (John) Schneck; three step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; seven siblings, Harry Trierweiler, Wausau, Rosemary Felch, Rothschild, Margaret (Eugene) Fochs, Mosinee, Dennis (Norma) Nelson, Wausau, Gordon (Sally) Nelson, Hazelhurst, Shirley (Eugene) Schedler, Thiensville and Marlene (Mike) Nowak, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Arthur, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Trierweiler and Doug Nelson. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
