Carol E. Schmidt

Carol E. Schmidt 72, Weston, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Hospice House, Wausau. She was born March 8, 1933 in Marathon County, daughter of the late Ewald and Sophie (Willner) Schmidt. Survivors include three sons, Steve (Kathy Bird) McMurtrie, Wausau, Jon (Melody) McMurtrie, Wausau and Mark (Janeen) McMurtrie, Red Wing, Minn.; one brother, Kenneth (Doris) Schmidt, Neenah; and one step grandson, Jeremy Bird, Weston. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Neil Schmidt. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2006 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Edgar. Rev. Al Houts will officiate. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
