Carol M. Jung

Carol M. Voigt Meyer Jung died September 10, 2010, with palliative care at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Carol was born December 24th, 1912 to Edward and Harriet (Wellhausen) Voigt in Sheboygan, WI. She spent her childhood in Washington D.C. while her father served in Congress, returning to Sheboygan when she was 14. Carol graduated from Sheboygan High School, attended Milwaukee-Downer College, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in English. Carol was married in 1938 to J. Edward Meyer in Sheboygan and they moved to Wausau in 1939. He preceeded her in death in 1966. She later married Robert Jung who also preceeded her in death. Carol excelled in volunteerism and philanthropy while her later life focused on family.She delighted in her two daughters, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Newman and Karen DeTienne Christianson, both of Wausau and their families. Beth(Seefeldt) and Paul Hoffman of Denver, CO and their children, Sam, Lucas, and Kate. Jeff Seefeldt of Lakewood, WI. Jay and Denise Seefeldt of Waupaca, WI. and their children Bailey and TY. David and Karin DeTienne of Grantsburg, WI and their children Connor and Carli. Andrew and Sara DeTienne of Verona, WI and their children Jackson and Benjamin. In accordance with Carols wishes, a private family service will be held. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
