Carol J (Warosh) Feldbruegge, died Friday, August 22, 2025, at Mount View Care Center under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.
She was born on August 29, 1935, to the late Al and Mable (Bier) Warosh. On August 17, 1963, she married the love of her life, Gerald F. Feldbruegge and spent almost 59 years together with her best friend. Their house became known as the place to gather. When you entered their house as friends, you left as family and found that there always was a place at the table for you.
Carol was involved in many different organizations over her lifespan and worked in various jobs over her lifespan. She was a den mother for her son’s Cub Scout Pack and was an active member in Catholic Daughters. The job that she loved the most was as a teacher’s aide in the special needs room at John Marshall School where also she helped form the Mother’s Club. No matter what organization she was involved in, she was committed to the task at hand and would enthusiastically perform her duties.
Carol had one son, Scott A. Feldbruegge, who married Deborah S. (Plein). Together they have one daughter, Emma L. Feldbruegge, who held a very special place in Nana’s heart. Emma loved going to Nana's to make homemade noodles, ground bologna, desserts, and anything else she could talk her into creating.
Carol had many nieces and nephews, who looked to her as a second mom. She received countless phone calls from them to discuss life’s problems and of course they would receive her love in return. Her goddaughter, Debra (Detert) Blair played an important role in her life. Deb was able to give respite care when needed and enjoyed Tuesday nights with Carol where she taught her how to knit. Deb brought much joy and provided many snacks and treats whenever she visited.
Carol loved to knit and her family and friends would receive gifts from her, whether it was a blanket, scarf, mittens, a Christmas stocking, or the latest fad. She liked to sew and made Boy's Choir vests and Top Hatter’s vests for her son and other students.
Carol and Jerry went on many family trips up north and they would take multiple weekend trips to Madison where they spend time with Jerry’s parents. She provided care for her mother when she became sick, and had her parent's move in so they could be closer. After her mom died, her dad continued to live with them until he passed at the tender age of 98 ½. Scott lived with his Grandpa his entire life until he was married. Scott is proud of the fact that he lived with his Grandpa and credits Carol for giving him such a wonderful gift.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Bob (Carol) Warosh, Betty (Noel) Burkhart, Mary (Willam) Hanke, Katie (Dave) Detert.
Carol fell in November 2024 breaking her ankle and leg and after surgery she transferred to Mount View Care Center for rehab. After completing rehab she moved in as a permanent resident on 4th floor of the memory care unit as it became evident that she had dementia. The care she received from the staff on the 4th floor was outstanding. The last ten months have been the best for Carol as there were many games like giant Jenga, and weekly Bingo, as well as music therapy and trips to Marshfield Zoo or Central Wisconsin Fair. She went out to eat and enjoyed craft days, beauty spa days, movie days and just because days. Being at Mount View allowed Carol to live her best life and she was so happy because of it. In lieu of flowers please consider a monetary gift in Carol's name so the family can purchase and donate a gift for the Mount View Care Center in her memory.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Aspirus Hospice Care for the kind, compassionate and loving care given to Carol and her family.
