Byron Edwin Buck

Byron Edwin Buck, 80, 4001 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, died Saturday, June 22, 2002 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Byron was born July 21, 1921 in Morris, son of the late Floyd and Ethel (McKay) Buck. He married Lorraine Wolter on January 3, 1943. She survives. Byron was a nurse and later an X-ray technician for the hospital in Shawano. He was a veteran of World War II, serving his country as a nurse for the 39th Evacuation Unit in the United States Army, which followed the fighting lines in battle. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son; Duane Buck, Wausau; three grandsons; Justin (Amy) Buck, Baldwin, Jason (Miranda) Buck, Merrill, Jeremy Buck, Wausau; one great grandson, Adam Buck; one brother, Earl Buck, Two Rivers; one sister, Jane Schultz, Two Rivers. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Sharon; and one sister, Loretta Schoenfield. Private funeral services will be held. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of the arrangements.
