Byrdine E. Tessmer

Byrdine E. Tessmer 91, Wausau, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at her home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born July 18, 1921 in Kent, Wis., daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Wisneski) Spear. She married Orville H. Tessmer in the town of Rib Falls. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1995. Survivors include, six children, Delores (Jim) Hopland, Garland, Tex., Michael (Lynn) Tessmer, Schofield, Patricia (Joel) Tessmer-Roehrig, Cleveland, Wis., Lisa (Jack) Beilke, Wausau, Julie (Greg Rakowski) Tessmer-Sell, Coleman, Wis. and Paul Tessmer, Wausau; her son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Tim and Ellen Heil, Wausau; 28 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Szitta, Gleason and Jean Clay, Antigo; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Orville, she was preceded in death by three children, Mary Peggy Sargent, Robert Tessmer and Chris Heil; three sisters, Velva Arrowood, Esther Nonnemacher and Sylvia Grade; and one brother, Charles Spear. Funeral services will be at Noon on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. William Metter will officiate.
