Bruce C. Carpenter
49, 1010 No. 10th Avenue, Wausau, died Saturday December 25, 2004, after a lengthy, courageous battle with muscular dystrophy.
He was born November 5, 1955 in Algoma, son of Dolores (Heitzinger) Carpenter, Wausau and the late Hugo Carpenter. On August 14, 1976, he married Carla Wilde at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She survives.
Bruce's passions in life were Nascar racing, the Packers and restoring his '69 Camero with the help of his daughters. He was also a Veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his wife Carla Carpenter, Wausau, his mother, Dolores Carpenter, Wausau, two daughters, Erin (fiance' Kurt Yusten) Carpenter, Weston, Leigh Carpenter, at home, a brother, Ken (Joan) Carpenter, Hickory, NC, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Irma and Alvin Wilde, Wausau, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, especially, Bob and John Wilde as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Carpenter and his grandparents.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m. Weds. December 29, 2004 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steve Kropp O.F.M. Cap. will preside. Friends may call on Weds. From 4 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
