Brenda A. Heil

Brenda Ann Heil, 38, 7105 Blackberry So., Wausau died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at her home after a 14 year courageous journey with cancer. She was born May 10, 1965 in Wausau, daughter of David Koppa, Wausau and Barbara (Kickbusch) Koppa, Wausau. On October 8, 1988 she married her high school sweetheart, Robert Heil in Wausau. He survives. Brenda loved being a wife to Bob and a mother to Brea, she and Brea played piano together, did many crafts and spent all their summer vacations enjoying each others company, these things were the joys of her life. She spent 10 joyous years as a secretary at Riverview Elementary School, Wausau where she enjoyed working with all the children and staff as well as participating in the many extra-curricular activities at the school. Survivors include her husband, Bob Heil and daughter Brea Heil; mother, Barbara Koppa, father David (Linda) Koppa, and her paternal grandfather Anton Koppa, all of Wausau; three sisters, Shari Streeter, Calif., Gina (Phil) Koppa, Wausau, Amy (Paul) Nelson, Wausau; one step sister, Kim Kohn, Chicago, one step brother Kris Kohn, Wausau; father and mother in-law, Conrad and Doris Heil, Wausau; two brothers-in-law, Jeff (Judy) Heil, Wausau and Jim Heil, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Linda (Jeff) Olcott, Wausau, Theresa (Bruce) Becker, Merrill, Deb Heil, Wausau; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her beloved cats, Shadow and Skittles. The funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2004 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven J. Brice will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. A parish vigil service will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the Stewart Avenue Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family directs memorials to a college fund for Brea being established with the family at 7105 Blackberry So., Wausau, WI. 54401.
