Brandon Firkus

Brandon J. "Moose" Firkus 20, Wausau, died Friday, May 6, 2011 in Elderon. He was born March 25, 1991 in Shawano, son of Dennis Firkus, Elderon and Julie (Ron) Maszk, Pike Lake. Brandon was employed at Waupaca Foundry where he worked as a grinder operator. His passions were hunting and fishing and will be remembered as a "Big Brother" to so many people. Survivors include his parents, Julie (Ron) Maszk and Dennis Firkus, one brother, Nick (Tiffany) Firkus, Wausau, one half sister, Adrianna Firkus, Elderon, step brother, Shawn Maszk, Oshkosh, the love of his life, Ashley Jansen, Ringle, grandparents, Carl and Loretta Firkus, Rosholt, Myron Bembenek Sr., Sharon and Bill Powers, aunts and uncles, Elaine and John Lewko, New Berlin, Elroy and Cathy Firkus, Milwaukee, Darlene and Todd Pfeiffer, West Bend, Deanna and Bob Goszkowicz, Rosholt, Donald and Georgette Firkus, Campbellsport, Dale and Caryn Firkus, Stevens Point, Doreen Lepper, Stevens Point, special uncle, Eddie Bembenek, Galloway; Debra (Duane) Johnson, Iola; Patricia (Pat) Bembenek, Galloway; Cindi Bembenek, Waupaca; Myron (Karen) Bembenek, Jr., Wausau; Angie Bembenek, Spencer; Scott (Patricia) Bembenek, Rosholt and Michael (Holly) Bembenek, Rosholt; Special friends, Mark and Julie Thompson, Ringle, Jim and Mary Jansen, Wausau, Kyle Jansen, Wausau, Chris and Michael Thompson, Ringle, George and Betty Wagner, Ringle, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Alex and Minnie Bembenek, Lionel Hansen. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Monday May 9, 2011 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston. Rev. Allan Burkhardt will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
