Bonnie Babl, 74, died Sunday, January 5, 2025, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at her home.
She was born August 11, 1950, in Evanston, Illinois, daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Cole) Lewandowski. On April 19, 1969, she married Thomas Babl in Round Lake, Illinois and he preceded her in death on January 16, 2022.
Bonnie worked for many years as a secretary for Easton Elementary School. In younger years she enjoyed traveling, country line dancing and square dancing with her husband, Tom. When her children were growing up, they spent a lot of time cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and camping together. Some of her current hobbies included gardening, scrapbooking, crafting, sewing and doing projects with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Thomas Joseph Babl, Tomahawk, Todd (Sara) Babl, Rothschild and Amy Lyn Babl, Rothschild; grandchildren, Mason, Ava, Morgan and Audrey Babl; brother, Andrew Lewandowski, numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau.
