Bonita K. Duranceau
67, 620 Chicago Avenue, Wausau died Sunday, August 2, 2009 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at her home.
She was born June 9, 1942 in Wausau, daughter of the late Joseph and Katharyn (Mulligan) Yambrik. On July 14, 1962 she married Delbert Duranceau at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives.
Bonita worked at the Wausau Daily Herald for more than 25 years. She will be remembered by her family for always putting everyone else first and lending a hand to anyone who needed help. Some of her favorite pastimes included sewing, cooking, making dolls and taking an occasional trip to the casino.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert Duranceau, Wausau, her two children, Patrick Duranceau, Wausau and Cherie Duranceau, Stevens Point.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by twin brothers, Joseph and James Yambrik.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Deacon Robert Anderson will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
