Betty Jane Schnurr

Betty Jane E. Schnurr, 84, Wausau, WI passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013. She was born September 7, 1929 in Roscoe, IL, daughter of the late George and Sirene (Moore) Christman. On July 14, 1945, she was married to a wonderful man named Norman Schnurr in South Beloit, IL. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1995. Betty Jane and her family moved to California in 1973 to be with her mother. Following her retirement, she moved to Wausau in 2005. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed reading, bingo and collecting cat figurines. Survivors include, two sons, Norman (Janice) Schnurr, DeKalb, IL and Nathan Schnurr, Wausau; one daughter, Jenny Bagwell, Oceanside, CA; one grandson, Conner Schnurr seven granddaughters, Stephanie Schnurr, Jennifer Fairbanks, Rachel Schnurr, Heather Schnurr-Trebe, Barbara Schnurr, Amber Gates and Gretchen Schnurr; 19 great-grandchildren, Nick, Aaron, Marissa, Kristian, Lain, Katya, Val, Janis, Briar, Asiah, Hazel, Violet, Reese, Maya, Daley, Mekhiyah, Niemah, Urjah and Cadmiel; two nieces, Sirene Christman and Deanna Peterson; AND her favorite grandpuppy, "Lola Schnurr." Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dean, Lawrence and George Christman. Memorial services will be held in Rockton, Illinois in the Spring of 2014.
