Betty M. Reissmann

Betty M. Reissmann 77, Wausau, died Weds. April 9, 2008 at her home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born October 2, 1930 in Sparta, daughter of the late Hollis and Mary (Munniek) Babcock. On April 19, 1950, she married Paul E. Reissmann at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death March 26, 2003. Betty was a graduate of Wausau High School and retired from GTE in 1992. She was co-owner of Calico Card & Gift along with her daughters. Among her favorite things to do were gardening, shopping and spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Paul (Alice) Reissmann, Bangor, Mich., Faye (Tom) Brzezinski, Jo Ann (James) Trojanowski, Lee Ann (Ted) Bornowski, Kevin (Judy) Reissmann, all of Wausau, Sue Hagen, Galesville, Jenny (Dan) Mills, Athens, 24 grandchildren, Sonya Ellington, Paul J. Reissmann, Kim (Duke) DeByle, Stephanie Brzezinski, Adam Brzezinski, Andrea Brzezinski, Samuel Brzezinski, Tony (Kelly) Trojanowski, Lisa (Jeremy) Dodd, Kate (Jon Shimel) Trojanowski, Teri, Andrew & Samantha Bornowski, Nicole & Ben Reissmann, Abigail (Willie) Wogernese, Evan, Dylan & Caleb Hagen, Tyler, Jonathon & Libby Mills, Chris & Paul Reissmann, 11 great grandchildren, sisters, Delores Berdan, Auburndale, Loretta Hommerding, Mary Ann (Ken) Nielsen, all of Wausau, one brother, Frank (Sue) Imbach, Wausau. Besides her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Reissmann, two grandchildren, Amber Trojanowski, Jeremy Reissmann, one great grandson, Doug Siler, seven brothers and one sister. Services will be 6:30 p.m. Weds.April 16, 2008, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Nancy Petulla will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
