Betty J. Heinrich

Betty Jane Heinrich 89, Wausau, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home, leaving behind all the wonderful people she loved. She was born August 19, 1923 in Wausau, son of the late Carl and Erna (Drews) Kopp. On December 25, 1958, she married Alan Heinrich at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. He survives. Betty worked for Dr. Hugo O. Schnieder D.D.S. for 26 years as a certified dental assistant until her retirement. She was very active with the Central Wisconsin Detal Assistant Association and was past president of the Wisconsin State Dental Assistant Association. In her later years, she worked as a volunteer for 12 A½ years. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, music and taking trips with her childhood friend, Liz Rothmeyer. One of the highlights of her life was playing cards with her mother-in-law, Alice Heinrich and Uncle Fritz. Betty also enjoyed playing shuffle board and bowling and her Bible and prayers were read daily. Survivors include, her husband, Alan Heinrich, Wausau; her sister-in-law, Leeann (Terry) Burton, Weston; nephew, Terry Kopp, Nevada; niece, Debby (Gregory) Minter, Arizona and their children, Gregory (Karen) Minter, Illinois and their sons, Dylan and Jack and Mindy (Mike) Moleski, Texas and their sons, Leif and Cade; her nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Joe) Soley, Jeff (Linda) Manthe and family, Blake (Sandy) Burton and family, Bradley (Cheri) Burton and family and Scott (Amy) Burton and family, all of the Wausau area and Carla (Denny Sauer) Manthe and Lynne (Randy) Caborac, both of Nevada. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Kopp. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau . Rev. Larry Treece will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from Noon until time of services at the funeral home.
