Bernice M. Wendorf

Bernice M. Wendorf 88, Mason City, Iowa, formerly of Wausau, died Monday, October 11, 2010 at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa. She was born December 20, 1921 in March Rapids, daughter of the late Alois and Katie (Brenton) Schaefer. She married Helmuth Wendorf. He preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Susan Wendorf, Mason City, Iowa; three grandchildren, Tad (Lynne) Wendorf, Jon (Lynn) Wendorf and Lara Groshek, all of Mason City, Iowa; three great grandchildren, Alex, Emma and McKayla; two brothers, Jack (Mildred) Schaefer, Wausau and LeRoy (Mercedes) Schaefer, Menasha, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Helmuth, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Wendorf and a brother, Kenneth Schaefer. Private family services will be held.
