Bernice B. Taschler, 91, Wausau, died Tuesday March 21, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born January 24, 1926 in Clintonville, daughter of the late Rupert and Minnie (Reed) Baur. On July 2, 1947, she married Arnold Taschler in Wausau. He preceded her in death in 2011.
Bernice took great pride in the fact that she attended school and received her license as a real estate broker. She primarily sold homes that her husband and son, Lynn built but also handled the bookkeeping for the family construction business.
Among her favorite pastimes, Bernice enjoyed spending time at their cottage at Franklin Lake and she especially loved watching the wildlife there and at home. She delighted in visits from her grandchildren and took great pleasure in cooking wonderful meals for the family. Bernice also had a talent for baking and quilting.
Bernice is survived by her son Lynn (Cathy) Taschler, Wausau, daughter Sharon (Gregg) Husband, Wausau, five grandchildren, Andy Taschler, Katie (Adam) Hall, Laurie (Alex) Garske, Austin Husband and Salena Husband; two great-grandchildren Tanner and Carter Hall and one brother Marvin Baur, Ariz.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis and Lyle Baur.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street is in charge of services.
