Bernice Connor

Bernice T. Connor, 89, Athens, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026 under the care of St. Croix Hospice at Athenian Living Community, Athens.

She was born October 15, 1936 in Mosinee, daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Springer) Purull. On August 21, 2004 she married Lawrence “Woody” Connor and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2023.

Bernice worked at Marathon Electric and enjoyed playing softball, and dancing especially the polka, waltz and jitterbug. She was also an avid Packers and Brewers fan.

Survivors include her son, Scott Roesler; grandchildren, Chad Roesler, Tucker (Emily) Roesler and Treyton (Katie Hart) Roesler; great-grandchildren, Xander, Caston, Willow, Waylon, Braxton, Kinsley and Maverick Roesler; step-grandchildren, Peter and Cale Kurszewski and Jonathon and Eric McCunn.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Roesler, Charles Robinson and Lawrence “Woody” Connor.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. George Graham will preside. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Minocqua. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service all at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens.
