Bernhardine Ohde

Bernhardine Ohde 81, formerly of Wausau, died Saturday March 2, 2002 at the Homme Home for the Aging, Wittenberg. She was born June 14, 1920 in the Town of Berlin, daughter of the late Paul and Erna (Lodholz) Wilde. On April 25, 1942, she married Louis Ohde in the Town of Hamburg. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1969. Bernhardine and her husband farmed in the Marathon area and for many years and she held various jobs in the Wausau area. Bernhardine was a member of Our Savior's Ladies Aid, Wausau. She enjoyed sewing and going to church but especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. Survivors include 1 daughter, Diane (Ronald) Schult, Wausau; 5 sons, Roger (Diane) Wilde, Kenosha, Harvey (Linda) Ohde, Merrill, Merlin (Sharon) Ohde, Gerald Ohde and Norbert (Roxanne) Ohde all of Wausau; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Ruth (Elroy) Brandt and Virene (Arlys) Cramer, all of Wausau, Shirley (Elgart) Thurs, Athens and Jean (Dale) Wilde, Milton; 3 brothers, Gilbert (Jean) Wilde and William (Lorraine) Wilde all of Wausau, Earl Wilde, Milwaukee. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 son, John Ohde, 4 sisters, Valetta Wade, Myrtle Sluga, Doris Tobalski and Lucina Dawn-Gaskin; 4 brothers, Marvin, Edward, Harold and Arden Wilde. The funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau. Rev. Robert Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Rib Falls. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services all at the Stewart Ave. funeral home.
